This “PANDORA X” issue is gifted with the tenth anniversary. Originally, the PANDORA started to be issued, as a multilingual and annual, art & literary magazine, crossing over the walls of nationalities, races, borders and literary genres, for the purpose of the cultural exchange and friendship. This tenth version of PANDORA, will give you, firstly, a series of the special features, on the celebration of the tenth anniversary, such as the English translations of Japanese senryu poems, titled in “Far Frog,” and the documents talked by the real witnesses or victims of the A-bomb, dropped on Nagasaki in 1945. In the latter part, you can enjoy the 27 members’ poetical works, including haiku, and tanka ones, in Japanese with and mostly, in English. Thirdly, poets’ news on their events or printed matters are up.
Profile of Noriko Mizusaki
Born in Tokyo, Japan. She is a translator, essayist, poet, and a poet of tanka and haiku. She is acting as a chief editor of PANDORA Books, annual. She graduated from Waseda University, Tokyo, in the first Literature faculty, majoring in UK & US literature. She studied at the English Studies, in the master course to gain the degree and finished the doctor course. She had one year living and studing in Boston, Massachusetts, attending a seminar of the graduate class, in Harvard University. She experienced so many travels and attended poetry festivals international, as well as domestic.
