Book Summary

The story of love in small dishes café (Letter to the nation-state)

This is a sister version of the below "Survival of the state (Life equation)"

"Several years ago, many roads and bridges were newly built in my quiet hometown. The roads were even built to each of the houses. Even the mountain roads that were rarely used were even paved. In addition, farmland and relevant infrastructure were improved while rice paddies were reduced, resulting in the rural exodus and agricultural land being idled. This is common in Japan, causing a large amount of debts. This is supposed to be forecast, but politicians are only interested in winning votes and local governments are just neglectful. It’s even worse than foolish. Local residents only pay a small amount of tax but demand convenience to their local governments excessively. There are so many people like these residents in all around Japan. They do not do anything by themselves but want somebody to do something. For changing something, even if they agree to the general principle, they oppose once they encounter something unbeneficial for them".

After entering the school, Kazuko started to hold Yukinari’s arm.
"Stay away a little. You’re beautiful, and the extravagant applique is over-prominent".
"I don’t mind".
"I’ll be fired from the school".
"Good. You can come to my home".
"But it’s too hasty".
"Both my father and I love you".
"But I cannot decide soon".
"Don’t you love me?"
"I love you".
"I loved you at first sight at the department store".
"Kazuko, nothing’s compared with you. I have nowhere to hide".
"Yes. It’s time for you to make up your mind".
"After we get married, I’ll be always henpecked".
"Be comfortable for me".
"Oh, I’m burned up".
"It’s so funny".
